  1. The schools are waiting on a final approval from the state Board of Governors before November. They have an idea of having full-time students from participating universities pay flat rate per semester, regardless of how many classes the student takes. They say a student taking 12 credit hours as the would be paying for a class he or she was not taking. A student taking 18 credits would be taking an extra class for free.
In my opiniion, I think this is idea of the flat rate for full time students should be an option and not a standard. The reason for this is because many students that are full time right now have jobs or other important stuff they do after class. Just by adding more classes to them, they probably won't be able to take them or maybe just end up doing bad in class. This should be an option for honor students or students that have the capacity and the time to take these extra credits. Many full-time students can't even handle taking 4 classes (12 credits). I believe if it were to be an option, it would be a good idea because students who do take advantage of this flat rate, would benefit a lot and they would be able to graduate on time or sooner.
