Is There "Fair" Social Mobility?

The New York Times' Opinion section, Feb. 23, 2014, includes an article titled "Your Ancestors, Your Fate," (http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/02/21/your-fate-thank-your-ancestors/?ref=opinion ) which deals with social mobility.  After reading it and commenting on the blog, be ready to discuss your views and the author's before your classmates for extra credit.
