What Can Be Done Regarding Immigration?
The Sunday, July 13th New York Times includes an opinion piece titled "The Children of the Drug Wars" (see link: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/07/13/opinion/sunday/a-refugee-crisis-not-an-immigration-crisis.html?ref=opinion&_r=0). After reading it and summarizing it in the blog, state your opinion about the matter. Be sure to discuss your views as well as the author's before your classmates for extra credit.

The danger these children face everyday is something terrifying. They are fearful of even going to school because of what the violent reprecussions might be. The children depicted in the article are blessed with a wealth of fortitude and strength to make it through that life everyday. In regards to those children being refugees I trongly agree. The day to day violence is so obviously present that it can't be ignored by the United States. Those children are in need of help and the American government shpuld open its doors to all these children.
