  1. The article informs us about the increasing pirate attacks that are occuring. Around 800 hostages are held by pirates now and nothing has really been down. Grovenments are not interferring because they believe that the pirates will start killing the hostages. The main reason why piracy is increasing is because in somali there is no central government and many of the young men are resorting to piracy. When the pirates are actually captured they are let go with no serious charges because according to the law at sea the pirates must be captured inside the hijacked ship to be prosecutes. However, that would be extermely dangerous.
Personally, I believe that different governments that are being affected by thepirates should get together and come up with a stratey. What i don't think should be done is to start a war at this point because it would beexpensive and cause many casualties. In addition, a war would be difficult considering the amount of miles the pirate sships are traveling in the hijacked ships.

  2. One word SHOCKING, I am completely disgusted with how the Somalis are working they are to be considered modern day terrorists with the only real need of getting money whether it depends on taking a life they have no remorse. What ticks me is how other countries aren't doing enough they always expect the United States to be the first ones who always lead the fight but they themselves can never lead first. The way they are becoming more brazen less feared of the governments due to the lack of centralized government in Somali makes the situation far more hostile, its sad how they can kill 4 americans and be okay with it. If America gets involved then that would lead to more money invested into another situation that we as a nation don't have, so many things to do and not enough support to push them through, we have become a nation where we don't take appropriate actions unless something bad happens first.
