Is there a problem with our Jury System

Many people have criticized our “jury system,” in which a jury made up of our “peers” (people who are representative of the community a-large) follow instructions from a judge renders a decision. Juries must render decision in unison. Does The New York Times article (below) “Astor Juror Says Her Fear Dictated Vote” suggests problems with the system? What do you think? You may seek background information on the Astor trial before you state your opinion.

  1. I believe there is more room for flaws when we are judge by a jury of our peers. There are few factors that involves bribes, threats, and many more. Sometimes, judgments are based on emotion rather than evidence study. I think that the lady was probably threatens. Anybody would be scared for their lives when face with that type of situation. So if anybody decides to serve on a jury, you should leave your emotion behind, always think with a clear head, and know that depens on the case your life and family's well being can be in danger. Remember that nobody wants to be guilty.
