  1. After reviewing the article by Mr. Frank Bruni titled:" Democrats behaving badly", I totally agree with the author. I believe that Mr. Harry Reid, the Democratic Majority Leader in the Senate, over did it and made a careless comparison between the the two of the worse hurricanes that had happened in the US history. He totally miscalculated about the true fact. He so wanted to bring down the Republican party that he ended up making a fool out of himself which later he had to apologize. I remember during Hurricane katrina, I was in Haiti at that time and I was so shock about what had happened to the people of New-Orleans. In a country like the US, so advanced, something like this should have been handled with care more rapidly. I was overwhelmed to see how many people were without a home and without food. Something that the Mayor at that time, Mr. Clarence Ray Nagin Jr. wasn't prepare for. Nevertheless would I say that Hurricane Sandy wasn't devastating. Lots of people were left homeless in the cold without power for weeks!
I believe that Mr. Harry Reid, the Democrat, miscalculated and made a mistake when he said that Hurricane Sandy was far worse than Hurricane Katrina. It's like he already forgotten what had happened in New-Orleans at that time. He mentioned that one million people had lost their homes in New-York.
It is true that the Democrats had helped a lot and had acted very fast after Hurricane Sandy. They were able to save many lives and had forgotten for a moment that it was the Election. President Obama and Mayor Chris Christie came together and were there for the people. What a beautiful image it was!
Let's get back to the author of the article, Mr. Frank Bruni. He seems a little harsh about Democrats but let's not forget and ignore the truth part of it. Senator Harry didn't have to make that mistake. He should have know better not to make a fool out of himself.
