In my opinion, it seems that President Obama has a lot of pressure on his hands since the U.S. play a large part in the United Nations, he feels obliged to help Syria with their dilemma instead of turning the other cheek. However at the same time he is contradicting himself by saying that it's a matter of national security since Syria has deadly weapons at their disposal. The civil war in Syria has nothing to do with National Security so there should be no reason for us to take part in their war unless there was something vital which we needed from their country.

  2. The concept of a weak presidency does not bother me; in fact, I like the idea of a weak executive branch, or I like the idea of it being equal to the other two branches. I think there is to much room for error when the power is concentrated in the presidency, and I think these errors can have severe consequences. I think that most laws and policies implemented under strong presidencies were disastrous or detrimental. For example, the Vietnam war was poor foreign policy, and it was pointless as well because Vietnam eventually opened its markets to the global economy which means that there was no need to forcibly spread democracy and capitalism. I think that presidents are men not gods, and they should be kept in check like any other person.
